From HKD to SYD

What a journey I've had! Let's recap the last week:

Last Last Saturday:

Mommy and I took a photo just before she went out for Auntie Jocelyn's birthday. It was the first time in my life that Mommy wasn't able to put me to bed at nighttime, and Poh-Poh said I was very sad and she had to hold me while I whimpered myself to sleep.

Last Monday:

Had a taste of toes for the first time! Mommy caught me toe-handed.

Yeah, rock and roll! Actually, there's no music playing, Poh-Poh just thought I looked cute in headphones. She was right. Ha!

Last Tuesday:

Playtime with Poh-Poh! Yay!

At night time, we usually Skype with Daddy so he can see us and we can see him. After a few minutes, I lost interest and found my feet much more intriguing and Daddy saw it for the first time.

Really trying to get in there...

Last Wednesday:

Introducing Mrs. Wus (Mommy and Auntie Jocelyn) and Little Miss Wus (Me and Janice)!

Here we are with Auntie Flo.

Yes, and all the other aunties (Rika, Maria, Flo, Joans) decided to join in our playdate too.

Last Thursday:

Tummy time! I love being on my tummy and moving around.

Although I can't quite crawl, I can push myself backwards and turn myself 360 degrees really quickly.

We went to the Four Seasons for some afternoon tea. Poh-Poh and Mommy munched on sandwiches while I was satisfied with one of my teething toys.

I met Mommy's high school friend, Uncle Raymond. I was really excited and got quite hyper after he left.

We took the opportunity to take some photos since we were out. Here I am with Poh-Poh.

And with Mommy.

Last Friday:

Gong-Gong came home from a long business trip and I was very happy to see him again.

Photo op with my grandparents.

Last Saturday

Daddy came back! He actually arrived late Friday night so I wasn't able to see him until the next morning.

And boy was I excited! I love touching his face.

Here we are just before taking some family photos. What a nice father-daughter moment.

And a mommy-daughter moment too.

Daddy fed me solids for the first time that night.

Look--minimal mess! He's such a good feeder.

Surprise! Auntie May dropped by to meet me and deliver a gift. She's so lovely and fun!

Monday

Poh-Poh wanted to feed me before I went back home.

Meanwhile, Daddy was encouraging me to eat while making slurping noises.

I really don't need any encouragement though... I love food!

That night, Poh-Poh and Gong-Gong saw me off at the airport.

Group photo!

Back in Oz! I've grown up a lot since I left and am just playing with the straps of my carseat.

Everyone was so excited to see me! Here I am with Uncle Brian, Auntie Nat, Mah-Mah and Ye-Ye.

Here I am in my kitty jumpsuit.

Meow?

I don't really like cats, but I look darn cute in this thing!

And one more photo of me just because...

It's freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing here in Sydney so I'm finally using the warm sleeping bag that I've been waiting forever to use! Doesn't it look like I have a tiny head and huge body? It's so comfy and Mommy wishes she had one too!

I'm not allowed to watch tv, but Mommy lets me watch the digital frame at Poh-Poh and Gong-Gong's house. It's filled with photos of me and I love it! Whenever I see myself I get so giddy and start screaming in excitement. (video also here)

Bathtime/Splashtime!

I've just woken up from my afternoon nap.

I'm always in the best mood when I wake up and love to smile.

What, we're going for a bath?

YESSSS!!!

My grandmas always wonder why I'm so dark. Poh-Poh always jokes that Mommy must've drank a lot of chocolate milk during pregnancy. You can't really tell in this photo, but...

Here are my legs compared to Mommy's. If she put one leg in the middle of mine, we could make an Oreo cookie!

Bathing is my favourite time of the day! I love kicking the water around and making as big a mess as possible! (video also here)

I can eat!

I have started solids! Here is my 2nd time eating rice cereal (with Poh-Poh feeding, and Mommy recording). The first time Mommy forgot to charge the camera battery and was really upset.

Yum! Sometimes I want more even before I swallow everything in my mouth. I just can't get the food fast enough! What a messy process, but I like it! I can't wait to try more kinds of foods... I'm drooling just thinking about it! (video also here)

I'm 6 (months old)!!

Poh-Poh bought me a shampoo shield and it works great! Now Mommy doesn't have to worry about soapy water getting in my eyes or ears when my hair gets washed.

I quite like this cap!

I still like to kick around during my baths.

It looks like I'm afraid of the water in this photo!

Mommy, save me?

Ahh, I'm all clean.

These days when I sit up, I like to grab and play with my feet.

Hanging out with my friends on Gong-Gong's chair.

I got a new high chair! It's slightly big, so Mommy put two stuffed animals on the sides to keep my cushioned in.

Me and my new walker! I'm still learning how to play with all the toys.

Just chillin' like a villain.

Anytime I'm just sitting by myself, I am always looking for something to suck on. My thumb is always my first choice, which apparently means that I love my Daddy the most. (I was told that sucking on my pointer finger means I love Mommy most.)

But I'm more than happy to suck on a burping cloth too!

Just chatting with Gong-Gong. He loves talking to me!

Having a laugh with Auntie ChiChi. She's got such a nice smile!

Who said three's a crowd? Uncle Joseph and Auntie ChiChi like to shower me with hugs.

My Uncle Joseph flew in from Shanghai just to see me. He's so nice!

Here he is using me as a weight for bench press.

What are we going to do next?

A quick photo with Poh-Poh and Uncle Joseph before he went back to Shanghai. Come back soon!

I'm getting better at this as each day passes.

I can almost stand in it, though I'm not supposed to or "my legs will be crooked".

Hmm, this looks interesting...

Ooh this thing moves!

Wow it makes noise too!

I'm very flexible these days!

I can easily grab my feet now.

Finally met Auntie Flo!

Mommy, me, and Auntie Flo having some afternoon tea.

With Grandaunt Grace and Poh-Poh. I'm too busy staring at the sandwiches and cookies.

Touching my sweet-smelling feet and showing off my midriff.

Tee hee, Mommy you caught me!

Giving my toe a little tickle.

Doing a birthday push-up.

Why am I wearing a pretty headband today?

It's my birthday! Yippee!!

And now for some videos...

Having a giggle with Poh-Poh. (video also here)

My first time in my walker. Hmm... it's quite interesting! (video also here)

Call me vain, but I love to look at myself in the mirror. Here I am with Gong-Gong getting excited by my beautiful face. (video also here)

Accepting my birthday lai-see from Poh-Poh! (I apologize for Mommy's annoying voice in the background.) (video also here)

I'm really good at this thing now. I can spin, tap, and flip things! (video also here)

Mommy let me taste some plum for my birthday. It was sweet and delicious--I want more! (video here)
